Today’s lunch is  a  Orange Glazed Popcorn Chicken Bites over Brown Rice

This spring the counseling department will be taking 3 college field trips.   University of Saint Joseph on   March 26th, The National College Fair at the XL Center on April 1st and Quinnipiac University on April 29th.

We would love to offer these opportunities to as many of you as possible, so please choose one field trip that you would like to attend and the first 30 permission forms we receive back can go!  Please see your counselor for a form! 

Are you thinking of a career in education?  Do you like working with kids?

If so, consider doing a PLE in elementary education by becoming a ‘Future Educator’ and working with students and teachers at Israel Putnam Elementary School.  See Mr. Britton in room 63C for more information and applications.

There will also be an informational meeting at Israel Putnam on Tuesday January 21st at 2:20 pm.

  • Seniors, don't forget to enter the College Application Campaign Raffle! Stop by the Career Center to enter your name to win a $200 gift card. Any student that applies to a college, community college, or a technical program before January 31is eligible to win.

Seniors There is a form On the Maloney Home page For Cap and Gowns. Please fill out the form, the cost is 20 dollars and must be paid by march 10th.

  • Seniors - have you completed your FAFSA? If so, stop by the career center to let Mrs. Powers know and get your Free T-Shirt! All seniors who complete their FAFSA before Connecticut's February 15th deadline will also be invited to a celebratory breakfast on Friday, February 28

  • The annual Scholarship Fair will be hosted here at Maloney on January 28 from 6:00 - 7:00 pm.  Seniors, please join us to learn about various Local Scholarship opportunities.

The Lady Spartans had no problem defeating Wilcox Tech in a Saturday matinee by a score of 49-15.  Abby Lespier paced Maloney with 11 points. Liv Aitken and Courtney Ubaike scored 10 apiece.  It was the first of four intracity girls games that will play out over the next month. Platt and Maloney square off  Thursday at Maloney and again on Feb. 18 at Platt. The girls have an away game at Bulkely high school this evening starting at 6:30.

The boys swimming and diving team has an away meet this afternoon against Manchester starting at 4pm.

Get out and support your Spartan Athletes!
